FAQs

Everything You Need to Know

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser energy targets the pigment in the hair follicle, heating it to reduce future hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

It provides long-term hair reduction. Most clients experience significantly less regrowth, with occasional maintenance sessions needed.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe it as a quick snapping sensation—mild and very tolerable. Modern technology helps keep treatments as comfortable as possible and our three-wavelength laser has a cooling system to minimise discomfort.

How many sessions will I need?

Typically 6–8 sessions are recommended, spaced a few weeks apart, depending on the treatment area and your hair growth cycle.

Can all skin types be treated?

Many skin types can be treated safely. Your suitability will be assessed during your consultation to ensure the best results.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • Shave the area 24 hours before treatment

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning

  • Do not wax or pluck before sessions

What should I avoid after treatment?

Avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, gyms), sun exposure, and harsh skincare products for 24–48 hours.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes—shaving is fine. Avoid waxing, plucking, or threading as these remove the hair follicle needed for treatment.

Are there any side effects?

You may experience temporary redness or sensitivity, similar to mild sunburn. This usually settles quickly.

How long do results last?

Results are long-lasting, with smoother skin and reduced regrowth. Maintenance sessions may be needed every 6–12 months.

Is there any downtime?

No—most clients return to normal activities straight after treatment, with minimal restrictions.
